Notes:
Fruiting in dense moss beneath Douglas fir, Western red cedar, Western hemlock and Spruce.

Very hard, thick stemmed and dense for a russula. Been finding this species in multiple locales this summer. Scent: slightly fishy.

Stem: discolored(grayish metallic and shiny).

Temp: mid 60’s.

Elevation: 1200ft.
