Amanita virosa appears to be limited to Europe, Siberia, and parts of eastern Asia.

It doesn’t seem to exist in the Americas. There are several white destroying angels in the eastern U.S. At the moment, some of them can be distinguished by microscope; others have only been “segregated” by DNA sequencing. The story is far from settled.
