Observation 176019: Amanita “cochiseana” Tulloss nom. prov.

Notes: In soil near Q. hypoleucoides, Q. sp. and one young Pinus ponderosus. First pure yellow one I’ve seen in the Chiricahuas. All the others are more red-orange and growing with older P. ponderosus.

We have accessioned this material to Rod’s herbarium and scheduled it to be sampled for DNA sequencing.
