On mossy ground under cedar and balsam fir. Purple brown cap with umbo and white margin—rusty brown cortina fragments at margin. Pallid brown gills. Whitish stem with rusty brown ring zone. Context purplish, darker in upper half of stem. Mild odor (slightly potato like) and mushroomy taste.
