Notes: off of loop road across from headquarters, on Pinus ponderosa branch; disks dark brown-black, rims only slightly bumpy, cortex quite thickened below, epihymenium dark brown obscuring fine POL+ granules entirely within epihymenium and upper hymenium, spores broadly ellipsoid 12.9+/-1.1×8.7+/-0.5um walls 1.0-1.3um N=17

det. by B. McCune as L. circumborealis back in 2012, but revised to L. pulicaris by I. Brodo on 20140909; atranorin and roccellic acid present by TLC, but no fumarprotocetraric acid (P- strain)
