several feet up trunk of young Picea; pale gray verruculosa thallus, K- C- KC- UV- P-, apothecia to 2mm wide flexuose strongly constricted in age, rims even and smooth to strongly verruculose fully corticate thalline P-, disk epruinose pale yellowish beige K~y weak C- KC+o UV- 350nm UV+y 375nm P-, epihymenium brownish with abundant fine granules among tips of paraphyses and often inspersed into upper third of hymenium, amphithecium with strongly thickened well-developed lower cortex and abundant large coarse crystals and fine granules, algae throughout amphithecium, spores 8 per ascus ~13-14×7-7.5um; det. by J.
