Yes, it’s pine-oak woods, and soils are sandy which are a staple of central Wisconsin – the whole region is called Central Sands.

Is the habitat more like pine-oak woods and sandy soil? I see both leaves and pine needles in your pix. Your mushroom looks similar to what I collected in the NJ Pinelands — see obs 74552 & obs 142424.

Otherwise “typical” bluing and then darkening of the pores when molested and context when cut.
