On mossy ground under balsam fir, spruce and cedar. Yellow brown cap, 5 cm., kid leather feel. Pallid then yellow brown gills. White clavate stem. White context. Rusty brown fragments at cap margin and on upper stem. Rusty brown spore deposit. White mycelium at base. Mild odor. KOH red brown on cap and gill surfaces. FeSO4 negative on cap, gill and context.
