I’d lean toward flavoconia…I guess.

Too bad there isn’t a Melzer’s Reagent app in, say, Photoshop. :)

Hi Rod,

Thanks for taking a look at this. When I tried to ID it at home I slapped myself for not clearing the leaf litter away for a shot of the base. I agree that the marginal striations are weak. The stipe is pretty yellow. Would this make A. flavoconia more likely?

Do you have an image of the lower stipe and bulb of this pretty creature?

The somewhat weak (to my eyes) marginal striations make it difficult to put down my money on an ID. Amanita flavoconia? Amanita frostiana?
