Notes: on Acer rubrum

open mixed Pinus and hardwood forest at edge of small plateau cliff

relatively short lobes, entirely emaculate and epruinose, soralia forming on broad swellings just back from tips covered with fine to coarse fluffy soredia, black below with fairly dense forked rhizines, medulla K+y fairly strong turning a bit brownish C- KC+ rose strong UV- P+ strong orange to slightly red-orange
