open mixed Pinus and hardwood forest at edge of small plateau cliff

shrubby to subpendent, base pale to brown, branches cylindrical and stiff with a few annular cracks, surface smooth to papillate and orange-tinged in many places, isidiate small soralia abundant in outer half, cortex somewhat thick, medulla normal white, axis normal, K+y weak C- KC+ rose P+o/r UV-
