open old hardwood forest on ridge

gray verruculose thick crust, isidia abundant and coarse in parts, warts constricted at base with purplish-brown broad epruinose sunken ostioles, 1-several apothecia per wart, cortex K- C- KC- UV+ dull orange weak 350nm P-, medulla of warts K- C- KC- to KC+ pink/lavender near ostioles UV+ ice weak to strong near ostioles 350nm P-, epihymenium brown K- filled with oil drops which bleed out in K, hymenium hyaline clear, spores 4 per ascus with thick smooth walls ~120×50um
