on upper side of leaning decorticate old Quercus stump

open oak-hickory forest on ridge

thallus lacking just loosely associated with various thin algal films, algae most consistently chains of small globose green cells (Stichococcus?), stipe black 0.35mm often branched or split from base some with whitish to bluish pruina at top, hea black somewhat flattened-convex not mazaediate, stipe and head greenish to olive in squash unchanged in K, spores 8 per ascus gray 1-septate ~5-6×2um
