bullate olive to brown areoles, not sorediate, K+red-brown C+pink KC+red intense UV- 350-375nm P- totally, black discose apothecia common, disk plane to slightly convex or flexuose umbonate to subgyrose, rims black raised smooth persistent, epihyemnium red-brown mostly clearing in K POL-, hymenium brownish bleeding yellow in K, hypoethecium and exciple dark brown turning brighter red- to yellow-brown in K POL-, paraphyses thick short and well-branched, asci with K/I+ blue tip lecidea-type?, spores not found
