on twig of Quercus virginiana; open mixed forest at edge of marsh; trail to sound

pinkish to grayish verruculose crust, algae trentepohlioid, apothecia lecanorine immersed at first somewhat irregular pale red-brown disk, exciple dark laterally, epihymenium brownish, hymenium hyaline clear I+ red-brown K/I+ yellow to bluish, paraphyses not ornamented, all K-, spores several-septate hyaline thick but evenly-thickened walls with cylindrical lumina
