Observation 179124: Schismatomma Flotow & Körber ex A. Massal.

Notes: on trunk of old Quercus virginiana by water; open mixed forest at edge of marsh; trail to sound

brownish thin thallus, algae trentepohlia with abundant golden oil drops, apothecia round tiny thin with whitish rims and dark brown epruinose disks, hypothecium golden-brownish or lacking, epihymenium dark brown, exciple often with algae brown/gray/opaque, hymenium hyaline clear, asci ~thick wall and thicker tip K/I+ inside, spores 8 per ascus ellipsoid hyaline 5-septate ~25×3.5um

This came out as similar to Schismatomma rappii, but I don’t remember the details…
