on base of Liriodendron tulipifera; very young hardwood forest with scattered old trees

dark green thin crust growing up into minutely coralloid green structure appearing to be purely algae, apothecia sessile not at all constricted pale off-white, algae trentepohlia extending into apothecia margins a bit, exciple and epihymenium and hypothecium hyaline, hymenium faintly inspersed, spores polysporous? 1-septate narrowly oblong to ellipsoid hyaline smooth ~10-12×3um
