Observation 179225: Cortinarius subgenus Dermocybe (Fr.) Fr.

Notes: Small colony of fungi growing under leaf Eucalyptus leaf litter. All specimens were shallow rooted in the loose soil, and easily dislodged from their habitat in area of find. More mature specimens showed enlarged white base area tending to be bulbous. Caps of mature specimens showed splitting effect. Stipes tapered from area close to cap and broadened towards the base. Partial splitting of one stipe was evident near the gill area. Some brown colouring was noticeable on some of the stipes. Images provided will show section of pileus and Gill attachment, Cap habits and stem enlarged bases. No aroma was detected. The Spore colour was a very light brown. I will load an image of the spore print.
I did not find another group of similar fungi in the area close by.
