We have recieved this material and accessioned it to Rod’s herbarium it has been scheduled for DNA sequencing.

I had exactly the same concern as to whether this was in the Phalloideae or in the citrinoid group. When I opened the bag, momentarily, I had the strong smell of an older specimen in the Phalloideae. Likewise with the membranous limb. Nevertheless, we’ll check this out and report back here. The collection is in the queue.

can develop into a free limb on citrina types. Check out obs 79980.

Did anyone sniff the fresh specimen? Usually citrina has the “raw potatoes” odor.
