has lots of White Pine and Eastern Hemlock, but few if any other conifers. I find lots of Hypholomas there every fall. If I find any more of these reddish ones on wood identifiable as pine or hemlock, I’ll bring some home for closer examination and preservation.

that lateritium and capnoides can look very much alike, and are separated on the basis of hardwood or coniferous substrate.
