Both nrITS and nrLSU suffer from what is apparently a non-homogenized nuclear ribosomal RNA repeat. This is also true of the voucher material from MO observation 175355. The situation in both cases is that we cannot get a long enough segment of nrITS to submit to GenBank because of length limitations on submitted sequences. We also cannot attach the ITS segments including the “left hand end” of nrLSU to the separate nrLSU fragments we obtained in either case. So in both cases we will submit only the appropriate nrLSU segment. GenBank processing through the submission portal has not resulted in processing our sequences since Friday afternoon. We hope this will clear up soon.

Very best,

Thanks Igor,

This material has been received and accessioned to Rod’s herbarium. We have scheduled it for DNA sequencing.
