On dead birch log. Looks like it might be crustose at first then forming a bracket. Cap is hairy. Flesh is white and fibrous. Tubes are white. Pore surface white then yellowing.

On another forum this was ID’d as Climacodon pulcherrimus, with tightly packed spines not tubes.
