On Wednesday morning, we had our first good rainfall of the fall: about .7 inch.

Found within branch-drip line of large birch tree. Cap 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide, 6 inches tall (15.2 cm). Stipe is slightly bulbous at base, tapering to top.
