Found on Douglas fir roots and branches.

Very thick cap- not velvet textured or hirsute. Thick stem-dark brown, smooth, somewhat glabrous.

Odor: polypore-esque, sweet.

Elevation: 2700ft.

Temp: low 50’s.

Visible pores underneath in final two images- thus ruling out any member of the Hydnellum, Sarcodon, Hydnum, etc.
