Notes: Fits the description of Fuscoboletinus laricinus (aka S. laricinus) in NA Boletes by BRB. The preferred name according to MO is S. viscidus. This obs looks a lot like S. serotinus except for the yellow tones and appressed fibrils on the cap and the fact that it turns wax paper bags blue.

Recognized by sight: slimy brownish cap becoming yellow brown, large angular whitish pores becoming brown, white context blueing slightly at base and cap then browning,on grassy ground under white pine, eastern larch and spruce, brown spore deposit
Based on chemical features: KOH red brown on cap; turns wax paper bag blue
