Notes: Cap viscid. Under oak. Stipe not reticulate. Pore surface starts out red and changes color to yellow as it matures.

Since there are no European Boletus dupainii sequences in genbank. They do have sequences from New York for the tef1, rpb1 and 28s loci.

this would be a good species to save …

for DNA analysis, since the original dupainii was described from Europe.
