Observation 181623: Hypsizygus marmoreus (Peck) H.E. Bigelow

Notes: caestipose group on maple stump; spore print white; cap widely convex 3-8 cm, light tan with slightly darker patches radially from depressed center, circle of bumps near edge, smooth, wet looking; gills crowded, white, distinctly notched at attachment and ?forked near attachment; stipe 1-3 × 1 cm white, smooth, equal, central to lateral; odor slightly farinaceous, taste mild/pleasant.
