Notes:
Medium Sarcodon scabrosus fruiting beneath Douglas fir and western red cedar.

Unusually pink/lilac tones to entire fruitbody(lighting also played a part in these images). S.scabrosus does always show hues of purple or pink on stem, along with sometimes olive tones. Never seen such vibrant overall coloration with this species.

Elevation: 3000ft.

Temp: low 40’s.
