Observation 182068: Polyporales sensu lato
When: 2014-08-31

Notes: This fungus was found growing around a tree stump in front of a school in Winnipeg, Canada. It has a shelf-like growth habit, with multiple levels stacked on top of one another. It didn’t have a distinctive smell, the texture was smooth and soft. I am pretty sure it would have been growing on an elm tree stump, but that’s just because most urban trees in Winnipeg are elms.
