Observation 182127: Gymnopilus P. Karst.
When: 2014-10-10
Collection location: Japan [Click for map]
Who: shinto
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Collected from same location as previous recent post showing this species. all the same species with color variation. About 20 observed in this patch. IMG 001 photo from previous recent post, allowed to dry showing rust colored gills. waiting to get a better spore print this time, allowing for spores to mature and gills to dry out a bit. This looks quite a bit like another recent observation of a subtropical Gymnopilus species (climate zone here). Is the margin here termed “striate”?
