These were dry with no obvious latex. Staining is visible in the photo. These were isolated but in other areas of the park Lactarius chelidonium was abundant. See obs. 182212. DNA work indicates that the green staining American L. deterrimus may be the same as the blue staining L. chelidonium. This is hard to accept morphologically.
