I’m comparing with the very yellow-capped mushroom in the just previous posting.
I can see that color variation is happening somehow. Also, the flash is creating a good deal of glare in both photos (deep yellow cap and lighter greenish-yellow cap). If you took the photo with reflectors bouncing sky light in from various directions around the mushroom in the second photos, I think would get truer color. Maybe some better photographers than I could make additional suggestions.
