Observation 182595: Hymenopellis R.H. Petersen

When: 2014-10-12

Collection location: Jasper Co., Missouri, USA [Click for map]

Who: Jon Shaffer (watchcat)

No specimen available

Growing near a stump apparently from underground roots which is typical of Pluteus. Spore print white and wide gill spacing reminded me of Xerula though. What do you think? Did not have Xerula long “tap root”.

I must have just missed the “root” or long stipe.
