Observation 182751: Trichiaceae Chevall.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found on extremely rotten conifer wood- most likely Douglas fir.

From what I know of Leocarpus-they usually fade to silver or shiny brown color when mature. Fresh specimens are anywhere from yellow to vibrant orange red.

Elevation: approx. 4000ft.

Temp: low 40’s.
