Notes: Habitat & growth style: dry ground, mixed woods; scattered individuals, one 3-member cluster.
Cap: to 10+ cm, flat, depressed center, smooth/slightly-velvety, white but hygrophanous darkening to brown/lilac* then drying to light-tan over 9 days.
Gills: close, free?, white/pinkish tinge darkening to tan/light-brown with age.
Stipe: white, striated, robust, widening to a base bulb, no ring.
Spores: dull-salmon, elliptical, avg 5.4×2.9 μm.
Tests: NaOH, FeSO4, NH4OH all negative. Flesh white, taste & smell not distinctive.
