Notes: Polypore growing on the roots of a hardwood tree, possibly maple.

- Pores white, going down the stipe into the wood. Pores had some yellow discoloration, but also stained light purple when bruised.

- The cap was bumpy, and the bumps had black discoloration on top that looked almost like tar.

- The cap had troughs in between the bumps looked almost like the arms of a spiral galaxy.

- Cap had a wavy margin.

- No distinctive scent.
