Observation 1830: Russula dissimulans Shaffer
When: 2006-12-31
No herbarium specimen

Notes: As suggested by Dimitar Bojantchev, the name was changed from Russula nigricans to R. dissimulans based on microscopic view of spores. Gills are brittle, subdistant and thick, especially the top of the gill where it attaches to the cap. Taste mild.
