Observation 183426: Tricholoma murrillianum Singer

The cinnamon scent of Tricholoma magnilevare may be why it is so good for diabetics. It contains cinnamomeum, the active ingredient in cinnamon.


When found, this specimen was completely underground (hypogeous). Note the soil adherring to the cap.

An older specimen, the gills are now turning spotted grownish.
