But there are genetic and morphological differences. When a tree is built from the sequences G.oregonense forms a different branch than G.tsugae.G.tsugae, G.oregonense, G.lucidum, and G.carnosum form their own clade and all seem to be very closely related.

I also see G.tsugae reported from the PNW but I am not convinced the name is applicable.

per Otto Miettinen is that G. tsugae and G. oregonense are one and the same.
