Found in mixed forest beneath Douglas fir, red alder and big leaf maple trees.

Elevation: sea level.

Temp: low 50’s.

I was hesitant to place this in any “Coprine” prefix due to the old specimens and lack of context. The young specimens did indeed have the distinct nipple that C. acuminata has(along with the small/medium size). Definitely not C. atrotomentaria- too small.

I definitely need to go through some of the new keys for this section and learn where all the Coprinus, Coprinellus, Coprinopsis etc. have all been placed currently.
