No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found in coastal Sitka spruce forest,

Colors seem different and duller than B. smithii, also pores bruising blue but erratically and weakly. Stature also different than B. smithii

Key features:

Stem tapering upwards, but without an obvious bulb.

Reddish brown reticulate stem abruptly changing to yellow at the top.

Pores brightish yellow, bruising blue erratically and weakly

Taste mild.
