Agaricus xanthodermus — classic, ultra-abundant species

This one is the classic yellow stainer — Agaricus xanthodemrus. Someone always suggests Agaricus californicus instead of it, but californicus is quite different. Compare xanthodermus here:


This is one species that molecular studies show it to be the same between North America and Europe.
