Recognized by sight: In the first photo there are tell tail yellow liquid droplets. I know of no other Ganoderma sp. with this trait. I am not even sure if the European G.resinaceum bleeds yellow resin when damaged, but the North American species does.

I know next to nothing about polypores (so far…) Glad I got lucky and got the droplets in the pic.
