Under pine after first frost, growing in a troop/line. Fribollose cap, dark gray, dray, stalk buffy towards bottom, gills crowded, slightly inrolled at margin, faint but indistinct odor, slight acrid taste and slight prickly aftertaste reminiscent of iris root but milder
