I did not collect this specimen myself, but photographed it on the table of incoming collections. It was identified by Danny Miller as Nidularia farcta, a name that MO says is now deprecated. I do not recall who the collector was. If he or she sees it here, perhaps we will learn whether it was ultimately vouchered.

gotta love a secotioid bird’s nest fungus.

I did NOT see this at the foray, but there were a heckuva lot of fungi laying about on those tables.
