When: 2014-08-15

Collection location: Prince William Forest Park, Virginia, USA [Click for map]

Who: Willow Nero (wbnero)

No specimen available

Notes:
Typical of other Lactarius indigo specimens I’ve seen. Pale blue cap with some concentric ringing. Slightly viscid and covered in debris. Blue gills. Fairly solid and squat. 4-5 inches across the cap. Growing in fairly sandy soil on a stream bank next to a small button. Gorgeous blue latex. Turned greener over time.
