Observation 185431: Clitocybe
When: 2014-10-20
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Since late July there have been fruitings of small whitish Clitocybes in grassy areas of my property. Generally, these fit the description for C. dealbata. But as the weather has become cooler, differences have been noted. This latest patch occurred in the excact spot (couple square yards) where ivory-white dealbata types had been documented earlier. As seen in the photos, this obs features small whitish mushrooms with yellow centers. The mushrooms had been covered with fallen leaves for at least several days and were discovered after the leaves had been raked.

I have examined spores from several of these Clitocybe collections, and all are similarly shaped/sized.
