Recognized by sight: Yellow color is typical of A. vernicoccora, and appears to be consistent for all fruitbodies pictured. Fruiting in larger numbers in the fall is odd for this species but not unheard of. Need an herbarium specimen to definitively rule it out.

Recognized by sight: odd color, yes, but the timing is right. I also can see more brown on the cap of the third coccora in that row. They already come in warm brown with yellow, and a copper color, dark brown and white. Why not yellow, too?
