First, I agree that this looks like a Lepraria… but there are some non-Lepraria sterile crusts out there which are very hard to distinguish from Lepraria. There’s some Lecanora for example which are essentially leprose, where you have to look long and hard under a microscope to find any hint of cortex. If you think this “feels wrong”… it may well be wrong!
