I sympathize with the annoyance, but I don’t think there’s any legitimacy in directing the frustration at MO.

Names for species are getting sorted out, and there are many different sources for these changes. The only thing that sets MO apart is that it’s a doing a relatively good job of keeping up!

If you don’t want to be surrounded by frequently-changing names, mushroom taxonomy is a bad kingdom to live in.

Ahhh yes

Now I understand, and I noticed that it was on the tag. Of course, it is the fluidity of the naming of these specimens that makes some of the pros, lets call them with affection, the MycoPortal crowd, so annoyed with MO. But seeing new names proposed is part of what makes MO so compelling. There are differences of opinion, but I think it is part of the fun.

That’s what’s written on the tag.

I didn’t write it. I just thought it was funny.

Just to clarify and not be mysterious as this a voucher photo for a preserved specimen of NAMA, could you explain what you are referring to with your comment?
